Service Fee Overview
This page outlines the standard booking service fees that may apply when you reserve travel products or related services through 1800 SmartFares. The final price shown during checkout remains the amount charged.

General Notes
- Service fees may be converted into your local currency at the time of payment.
- Passenger types may include adult, infant, student, child, senior, and military fares.
- Transaction fees are generally non-refundable and may change without prior notice.
- If a qualifying booking is canceled within 24 hours of confirmation, transaction service fees may be refundable.
- If a booking is canceled more than 24 hours after reservation, the transaction service charge is generally non-refundable.
- Only the final total shown at checkout is charged to your account.
Additional Service Fee Exceptions
Some booking types and support-assisted itineraries may carry a higher service charge than the standard online fee.
- Online holiday package bookings: up to $50 per passenger.
- Online first-class and business-class air bookings: up to $200 per passenger.
- Open-jaw and multi-city bookings: up to $100 per passenger.
- Cities with elevated fraud risk: up to $40 per passenger.
- Different date and nearby-airport booking requests: up to $55 per passenger.
- Online cruise bookings: up to $200 per passenger.
- Unaccompanied minor tickets: up to $100 per passenger.
- Contact center bookings for complex international, multi-stop, or senior itineraries may carry service fees from $15 to $250 per passenger, or up to $125 for senior travelers.
